sleeper cigars

I am always in support of the underdog company that produces great quality work.

Tonite I am asking my fellow gorillas to name those small boutique cigars companies that have quality products.

The reason I am doing this is to spread the word or words on some good quality smokes high end or economically. Plus the small guys sometimes have a hard time competing with big names. So if its good and tasty but not well known let your fellow gorillas know. This will help us broaden our horizons

I'll start the list
Avalon Cigars (home state brand)
www.vegassantiago.com/ (just ordered a sampler from them)

Re: sleeper cigars

I like Gispert, and Sosa cigars a lot. Vibe, REO, and Nording by Rocky Patel are great sticks, and slowly growing in popularity.

Moore & Bode out of Florida. Not cheap, but not crazy either. They are great smokes, offering a very unique, delicious flavor profile. Very hard to find in B&Ms out side of Florida.

Re: sleeper cigars

I am a fan of the "Don Kiki" line available through Cuban Crafters and possibly through Corona Cigar Company. The full-bodied "Don Kiki White" is especially good....

Re: sleeper cigars

I just picked up two Battleground Cigars today. Hand made in the shop. All are locally grown CT wrappers aged for 5-7 years.

Re: sleeper cigars

I have to go with the cigars I started out with ten years ago; Latin Gold. I believe hand rolled in S.A. www.latingold.com
They have regular and flavored.

I am a huge fan of Bucanero. They are aged something like 6 or 7 years before they make it into cigars.

Re: sleeper cigars

One small brand I like is Los Blancos. They have a bundle, Primos, that IMHO is better than many premiums. Another, a little bigger is Gran Habano. I love the VL and the 3 Siglos are good also.

These are some tasty smokes. I think they range $10+ retail. I know Jim (BlueHavanaII) has put together samplers of these for me as well as others in the past. A great person to deal with.

I would see if Jim offer's the build your own sampler for a benjamin again and take advantage of that offer.

Good pick! Especially the Corojos -- great bang for the buck.
