Re: Positive ID - Test II
I smoked stick number one tonight. (the bigger darker one).
Stick was a little hard to light, but probably due to its size. The burn on this was very straight. The draw was a bit tight, but not overly. The amount of smoke that came out of the cigar was disappointing though. I purged twice, the first time not even halfway through and the length of time the cigar stayed on fire was amazing (like 2 minutes for real). I think this means the cigar must have had a lot of tar built up even that early on. As far as taste, the aroma and taste right after the light was of wood, actually, overpoweringly of wood. Not cedar either. About half an inch into the cigar it started to change, and for lack of a better word, it tasted like tupperware or plastic a bit. It was bitter, pretty much a bit like a hemi to me. More on that later. The cigar didn't change a lot after that initial change. Even after purging the taste was about the same. Construction = 8/10 Draw = 5..5/10 smoke = 3/10 taste = 3/10 Overall, the strength was on the medium side of mild to me. Thanks for the stick, I'm excited to find out what it was. My guess... highlight to see, so the others don't get swayed (yeah right, like I have the palate to guess this correctly) ![]() Perdomo Reserve Cameroon - Vitola = 'E' Wrapper = Cameroon (I think this was the bitterness) I'm gonna guess you paid roughly $3.50 each (on cbid maybe)

Re: Positive ID - Test II
I just finished up the first stick (big one). This stick was HUGE! I usually don't smoke cigars of this size, but made an exception for this contest
![]() The cigar was 6in by 56/58 (I'm guessing the RG since it was a bit out of round). The first third of this cigar was not super impressive. It was a little harsh, peppery and not all that appealing. I stuck with it though, and the middle through the end of the cigar was the best part. A med stick with lots of cocoa and coffee flavor. Like Greerzilla, I was a bit disappointed with the amount of smoke this stick produced. I also had some burn issues and had to correct it numerous times. Construction was pretty decent. Construction = 8/10 Draw = 7/10 Smoke = 4/10 Taste = 6/10 I'm not sure if I would buy this on my own. Although it wasn't terrible by any means, it was just way too big. I sat outside for over 80 min and still had just over an inch when I tossed it. There's my review, I will post my guess after I smoke the 2nd stick.

Re: Positive ID - Test II
Smoked the second (smaller one).
First, the wrapper was a light creamy color, but it had several flaws as far as well, holes, but not beetle looking holes, just like... i dunno, imperfections. The wrapper looked as if it had been soaking wet when they put it on. The stick itself was not packed tightly, almost spongy. There were 2 actual soft spots. The draw was very loose. It lit well enough but had burn problems throughout. Burned unevenly that is. Taste was, eh, ok. Tasted like a plain cheap cigar. No complexity, got hot before the halfway point (I admit, I only smoked half of it). I would not rate this one very high. I think this was the cheaper of the two, and if it wasn't, the cigar maker should be ashamed of themselves. My guess. Free Cuba - Robusto 5X50 - Connecticut wrapper Paid $0.75 per cigar. You other guys need to start smoking!

Re: Positive ID - Test II
LOL...I'm smoking the other one tonight after work. It's been 90*, humid and thunderstorms here so I haven't had a chance to smoke the second stick.

Re: Positive ID - Test II
Well, I smoked the second cigar tonight. I liked this one much more than the first. Seemed to have some type of triple cap, was constructed nicely, and had a slight waxy feel to it. This stick was 5 by 48 (again, it was a bit out of round).
The draw was loose on this stick, but not too loose. The first few puffs were peppery and I wasn't sure if I would like this smoke. However, there was a slight "sweet" taste to this smoke. It was kind of addicting. It was not a flavored cigar type of sweet, but a hint of something I couldn't pinpoint. The burn was even throughout the smoke and taste stayed consistent. I smoked this cigar until I burned one of my fingers. If this is an inexpensive cigar, I would probably buy some to have around. Construction = 8/10 Draw = 7/10 Smoke = 7/10 Taste = 8/10 My two guesses are: Indian Tabac - Super Fuerte Super Gordo - 6 x 58 Maduro Wrapper $3.00/stick Drew Estate Natural Clean Robusto 5 x 50 Natural wrapper $4.00/stick
