Tobacco seeds

I'm kickin around the idea of growin my own tobacco plants...like maybe 5 or so plants...just for fun...and greenery....I haven't really searched online yet...just thought I'd ask the jungle first

any reccommendations? or any seeds for sale?

You have a choice of a lot of seeds. First you have to determine which ones grow best in your climate, then oick one that fits your prospective applicatiom.
My uncle used to grow tobacco in Minnesota of all places, I don't know who he sold them to . Good luck.

Nothing grows in his climate unless there is a tobacco cactus.

Really cool idea. Try to get some Cuban Seed, although I don't know where.

ccforme beat me to it. I was looking into the same thing the other day. When I was little we once went to an uncles farm who raised tobacco in TN. Seeds are bout 2.50 a pack and will grow lots of tobacco. It just takes time to cure etc. Good luck.

I bought some tobacco seeds a few years back from what I think was seedman. I planted a couple of seeds but the plants ended up dying on me. Anyways, good luck.

Did you get your seeds yet? The season is upon us (Northern Hemisphere) and with the 3 weeks it takes to germinate some varieties it is time to get those babies in the soil. PM me if you have seed needs.

I got my seeds from Richard, they just sprouted, and look great! there are 20 sprouts so far, I'm hoping to keep them all alive and well I'll be excited if I can produce something out of them.

You bet, depending upon where you live in the world. Simi Valley would produce an excellent crop. The plants can range from 1-3 meters in height. The variety I have grown gets around 3 meters.

It's the selling of tobacco that is highly regulated in this part of the world.

One should always check with Federal, State and local laws before growing...since this is a world forum.
