Good mild cigars:
Graycliff Red
Gurhka Doble Maduro
Avo No 2
Montecristo White
Ashton (regular)
CAO Gold
Los Blancos Connecticut
Rocky Patel Connecticut
Diamond Crown
Sosa

That's a good start.

I'd throw Gispert and 5 Vegas Gold on the list as well, and the Oliva Serie 0 is pretty mild.

I know nothing about cigars, so take this with a grain of salt......

I have smoked a couple of the La Unicas'. I found that if I lit them and then let them sit for a couple of minutes I didn't get that funny taste. Once the funny taste is gone I really like the La Unica. I have smoked the maduro and the light colored (<?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comffice:smarttags" /><st1:State><st1lace>Connecticut??) and have enjoyed both. I don't know how the masses feel about these cigars, but as of right now it is one of my favorites.</st1lace></st1:State>

AF 858 Natural, or the Perdomo Reserva Champagne are good mild cigars

There is a La Unica event at a B&M about an hour from me on Thursday. I've never heard of La Unica and I've never been to an event like this and I'm trying to decide if I should go.

I'm going to a La Unica event on Thursday too. I was told that they use
A. Fuente tobacco, and the ones i have smoked weren't too bad either

Haven't had a Gispert, but the 5 Vegas Gold and the Oliva Serie O are very nice.

Actually, most new smokers like mild and expensive cigars. so, I assume you're thinking of something that costs about what the La Unicas do - about $60 a box/bundle.

The Gispert, 5 Vegas are a good start. The 5 Vegas 'A' is also a mild, flavorful cigar. You can get box of AF Chateaus for about that price and they come in sungrown, too. Very tasty!

I'd add the RP American Market, good smoke, smooth and mild... Like butter!

I can't say enough good things about the Oliva Serie G. A great mild to medium cigar and you can find them in the $3 range...

Re: Anyone tried the La Unica 600 - Some say I'm spoiled

La Unica is a Fuente rolled product and I have smoked their 400's for years. I think they are a fine cigar. The 600 is a new size they just released a couple of months ago. The Fuente company wanted to create a "premium bundle" cigar and I think they did so successfully and they are one of the best selling bundle cigars around. I feel like they have gotten relatively more expensive in recent years and are less of a bargain than they used to be but I would smoke one any day.
