Cigar market research study ....

.... Soooooo .... am I throwing away 2 hours of my time ?

Well ... I get this email from a local B&M, stating that they are looking for 12 participants to sit around at a local steakhouse in the cigar room for a couple of hours and take part in a cigar market research discussion...no one will be asked to purchase anything and there will free hor'dourves and free libations.

My first thought was .... "I don't libate"

My second thought was .... "Free food is free food !"

Then I read further to see that they will be giving each participant a "cigar related gift package worth $75.00"

So my third and final thought was ... "Herf, baby !!!!" & I fired off a short email to see if I would be accepted.

Well,.... I got an email back from "cigar market research" telling me to show up & participate. So, Monday night from 7:15pm~9:15pm, looks like I'll be sitting around some smokey room, puffing on stogies, munching free yummies and subjecting myself to .........

....... I have no idea what I'll be subjecting myself to. Anyone ever show up at one of these & can lemme know what I should expect ?

It's actually a really nice steakhouse .... guess they don't wanna spit out that much change to *really* feed everyone....and I don't blame 'em.

Used to work in market research. We did a survey with cigarettes but never cigars. Will be curious to hear how it is and what you get.

for most of these focus groups they just want to facilitate a natural discussion to learn more about the marketer's target market. They'll probably just present some stuff and ask some questions.
