anyone order from BargainHumidors.com recently?

I did a search on them and found that some clubstogie members reported bad customer service and slow shipping...I was wondering has anyone ordered from them recently?

I got my humidor from them. It seemed that things were moving slowly as I hadn't received a confirmation that it had shipped a few days after I put my order in. I called them up and they shipped it out that day. Dunno if I got lucky or if they needed a kick in the ass to get things moving. If you do buy your humidor from them, I'd call the next day to confirm your ship date. I replaced the floral foam in the humidifier (or "humifier" as they call it) with beads, as well as put a couple more nylon sacks of beads in the bottom cavity, and all is well. The digital hygrometer is nice as well. Everything affixes with magnets, which I like a lot better than velcro.

Not too recently but did order my humidor from them, great humidor. Not impressed w/ their customer service, when I ordered my humidor the humidifier was on backorder. Been around 4-6 months later I asked them to ship one out to me, and they analogized for the wait and said they would. I haven't received anything, don't think I would order from them again.

Honestly I have been using the beads for a little while now, because of this forum, so I really didn't need the humidifier. But point is, it was supposed to come w/ the humidor. And even when they told me personally it was "shipped" I never got it, so thumbs down to their customer service. But will say their humidor has worked perfect.

They had the best prices for cedar trays when I shopped. However, the web site said they were out of stock. I ordered anyway. They arrived today, about 3-4 weeks after I ordered.

No complaint by me as I knew it would be a while and I was in no rush.

There may be no recent orders because of the trouble people have had with past orders.

When you say recently I assume you meant in the past few weeks because this thread speaks to a time several months ago.

About 4 months ago I placed an order for some 65% beads and 5 cedar trays. I got the order 6 weeks later and 3 of the 5 trays came in broken. I have yet to get the replacement for the trays. 4 months and my order has not been completed!

They have the worst customer service ever!

If you are going to order from them contact Jen. The email address and phone number listed on their website will not help you.

jeeez that sounds bad...i was hoping they fixed their problems but like someone said above, after that bad publicity not a lot of people ordered from them...

i guess cheaphumidors.com it is then...too bad i really liked that glass top humidor with western digital III combo.

I ordered 2 flame lighters, a Western III hygrometer, and 6 spanish cedar trays from them (for my coolerdor). The trays were listed on the website as "backordered til mid-June", but it was end of June when I ordered.

Next day, I got a call from Jen apologizing that the trays were still backordered, and asking if she should partial ship the rest of the order. I said yes, cause I wanted the lighters, and she did that. About a week or so later, the trays shipped.

Only problem was I only got 4 of the 6 trays. I wrote to Jen and told her I didn't receive them all, she apologized and said she would send them out immediately and gave me a tracking number. I see from Fedex that the package is in transit.

So while the aspect of delivering the items hasn't been what I'd hoped for, Jen was responsive and immediately took care of the problem for me.

Hey, just wanted to say I got a package today.. I was suprised, trying to figure out what I could of ordered recently. I've already spent enough on stogies to keep me happy for a little while so thought that couldn't be it. I look on the address and it says "bargainhumidors" hmmm.. Seems wierd, cause it was back in early May, when they said it has been shipped it out to me. But nonetheless I have received my entire order now, so just wanted ya'll know.
