Pure Bliss This Morning

Just a little musing this morning.

The basic chore of a trip to the dump. Loaded up the Studebaker P/U with trash, iinvited the dog, fished out a (no laughing) well aged La Finca "Black" Robusto and off we went. Nothing like an hour on the road with one of my best friends beside me and smoking a stogie. Brought back memories of my Pop sitting on a rock by our cabin watching the river going by and always saying, "can it get any better than this"?

Sometimes the simple things are the best.

I agree.

Serenity, its all about the leaf and zoning out sometimes.

Re: Pure Bliss This Morning

You're thread really really helped me just now no lie.... My dad threw away my damaged hard drive 5 months ago, the one I was planning on fixing next month when I get back, just infuriated me, but the thread made me remember drivig to the dump with him in an old beat up chevy when I was just a little guy.

Amen to that. I just got back from camping. Last night, after everyone else went to sleep, I just sat by the fire and watched it burn its self out to a pile of glowing red coals as I smoked an AF. Sometimes you just gotta slow down

Dude, driving a Studie Pickup with my dog, minus the cigar, would be blissful enough... Where did you find your Studie Pickup...when my great grandmother died when I was 9, she gave me her 1950 Studebaker Champion Sedan...26,000 original miles...completely stock original, no restoration, rust-free car...I sold it to my uncle, now I wish I hadn't...at least it is still in the family...

Picked it up about 10 years ago. Had one I bought in the early 70's from my Father-In- Law but he had a change of heart and wanted it back. 62 T-Cab. Been thru it completely on the running gear but have typical rust problems and were going to have to deal with it and the paint when I stop buying cigars.
