Work of Art

I just needed to plug this little perfecto. I've had a small batch sitting for a little while now and decided to smoke one tonight. This is truly an amazing cigar. I'm not all riding up on the Feunte train or anything but what a nice, tasty, smooth smoking cigar. IMnsHO a cigar worthy of it's hype.

Re: Work of Art

I realized the other day I was a Fuente whore after looking at my humi. They are just great cigars with a distinct flavor. I had a chateu maduro the other day that was sooo tasty, and it knocked me on my ass too for smoking on an empty stomach!

Ya just gotta love the Fuente line. It keeps constantly impressing me. Fuentes and Torano's are about the only domestics I smoke any more, but I still appreciate all the good little cigars that have paved my way to this point

Love the Hemmingway line as well as the Opus line, and the Torano Exodus always keeps me company.

Glad you enjoyed it Gargamel.

Re: Work of Art

Are you speaking of the regular WOA or the WOAM?

I am getting very itchy to pull the trigger and smoke the WOAM (my first) that a very generous BOTL here sent to me.

Yeah just smoked a Shortstory Sunday. I love them things. I try not to smoke too many Hemingways cause of the price. It's so tough watchin the boxes on Jr's and Famous smoke get gobbled up!

Re: Work of Art

I picked two of these up yesterday. Are these better after they have aged the humi, or ready to smoke anytime?

Re: Work of Art

IMO Rituxumab, if its the Work of Art Maduro's (WOAM) then I love the flavor of them straight off the truck. They are very good with some age but I prefer them fresh. Very strong and pungent IMO. Flavor is spicy and full of kick!

My local B&M has got a grip of them and they are always some of the best sellers.

Re: Work of Art

How do the WOAMs rate against the Best Sellers? Rituxumab and I visited our local B&M yesterday. I laid a couple of Habanos on the proprietor and wouldn't you know it, while checking out, I had a baggy with three WOAM and three FFOX XXX waiting for me along with 10% off of my purchase (all singles and a Colibri lighter).

Rituxumab and I had a nice evening smoking Habanos with the B&M owner.

Re: Work of Art

Wow, that's a very nice gift. Sound like you have a good relationship with your B&M vendor (always a good thing to have )

I smoke mostly Habanos now and I have a tendency to compare everything I smoke to my favorite Cuban but I can say that I did smoke many Fuente products and still do.

Me personally, I prefer the Best Sellers. I have a soft spot in my heart for the WOAM's and I think they have great flavor but the Best Sellers are more my style. Here's why:

When I smoke a WOAM I get that nice spicy in your face flavor. Full flavored and heavy. Its like smoking a revved up Partagas Black Label. Excellent taste! However to me, the Best Seller is a little more refined than the WOAM while still retaining that nice deep Fuente flavor. The flavors are definitely different I suppose but the Best Seller is elegant and the flavors seem to take on a richer texture. The taste to me is more impressive than the raw power or strength of the cigar. While I enjoy the concentration of tobacco that the WOAM uses I like the complexity that the Best Seller brings to the table.

Re: Work of Art

To me Fuente : Cigars :: Mondavi : Wine.
They make a fine, consistent product, and seldom disappoint, but there are so many other more exciting products out there to try.

What u waiting for Matt? Just pull it and that will take care of the itchyness... I have always loved the maddies, but in the last 2 years my palate has changed and I am beginning to like the naturals and corojos a little more...
