Sitting in the garage with the door open and listening to the rain.
That is beautiful..........nice and relaxing. Read the paper and smoke a cigar in peace.

Exactly. Sometimes I use the rain as an excuse to go outside and smoke. Nothing is more relaxing than listening to a nice rain shower.

What he said. I could have written this my self. Every time it rains I make a beeline for the humi and drag out a stick. I've had a lot of opportunity do this lately....Lotsa rain in San Antonio.

Re: Smoke a stogie with sketchy weather on the horizon?
I agree with some of the other posts. If you have a deck, then let it rain, thunder, lightening, etc. But if you are on a walk with the cigar, I would probably not take my chances. Not only is the cigar ruined, but so are your clothes.
What is that- umbrella? Ya, I think not. One hand holding a umbrella and the other with the cigar seems to ruin the moment for me.

You hit it on the Head
That right there is my optimum smoking condition. I prefer that condition in my garage with the doors wide open. B |

There is nothing like being entertained by weather when having a cigar and a beverage.

Smoke that puppy! Even if you are out there with no cover or anything structure-wise go for it. Sitting in the rain with an umbrella with a cigar sounds nice anyway.
Maybe not a time for a Churchhill though. |

Re: Smoke a stogie with sketchy weather on the horizon?
Why not open a window, and place a fan behind you on a low speed to evac the smoke? Personally I like to smoke indoors - consequently I have to work a little to make sure the smell goes away. But I think it's worth it for the ability to create a real smoking "atmosphere".
I haven't yet had a problem with the smell as long as I keep some windows/doors open, and a fan going. Rick |

Re: Smoke a stogie with sketchy weather on the horizon?
I spend most of my time in an 18 wheeler so I dont have any deck to worry about..I just sit in the driver's seat and watch the weather through my windshield..
