Re: Smoke a stogie with sketchy weather on the horizon?

I voted "No", but it really comes with some caveats. If you have a covering to prevent the rain from messing with you, maybe. Sometimes it's really nice to watch a real beat-down rainstorm. My deck has no cover, so there's no way I'll be smoking if I think a storm is coming along.

Most of the time, I'd say no, go in and visit the devil site to get more sticks for when the weather is nice.

But of course you should - just dont make it the best one in your humidor. I smoke in/close to inclement weather quite frequently. When I see something on the horizon, I fire up a yard 'gar.

My back patio is uncovered.. so when the weather goes south I typically smoke out in the garage. Sit far enough back and watch the rain come pouring down.. keeps me dry and I can enjoy the weather at the same time.

I just make sure I'm within walking (or running) distance of my car or back porch. Oh, and NEVER light up something really big when it's raining hard, unless you like unplugging things!

I voted smoke it. But I've been out camping along the northern california coast these past few days and realize how hard it is to get a smoke in windy or foggy conditions. Crazy burn issues and a bitch to even get things lighted.

I just smoke them anyway.

Of course. Inclement weather is great to relax in..listen and smell the rain, hear the thunder, watch the lightining...and light up a Fuente Churchill....mmmm

Absolutely smoke it!!
Half a smoke is better than none, right?
And if the rain doesn't hit, you've enjoyed the whole stogie.

Re: Smoke a stogie with sketchy weather on the horizon?

I usually smoke on my back porch that has no covering. If it seems like it will rain, I usually go to the front porch that is covered. If I held off until weather looked good, I would never be able to have a smoke. It has rained just about every day here for the past 2 weeks.

I have a big wrap around front porch - so unless it rains sideways I'm safe!
