LOL, past experiences have taught me not to post pics while under the influence.

Take care and good night!

The Anejo........

My favorite Is the shark. That cigar looks delicious.

One heavy Maduro.

mini review (sorta)

Friends, listen to the tobacco sages when they advise you to age any of your Fuente offerings. That cigar was purchased Dec '05, and it is really incredible what 18 months in a stable humidor will do to enchance the Añejo's already impressive flavor profile.

My wife and I sat out back late last night as I enjoyed the above combo. Thousands of lightningbugs, backed by a chorus of crickets, put on a spectacluar fireworks display, making the woods behind our home look like a collection of giant Christmas trees. It was so calm and quiet our normally alert German Shepherd dozed off at our feet.

After approximately 90 minutes, I finished the ale at almost the exact moment I nubbed the cigar. Needless to say, warm ambiance and intimate conversation, coupled with the Añejo's silky-smooth potpourri of expresso and mild pepper flavors, as well as the Belgian Ale's 11.5% alcohol content, had me feeling quite sublime on that cozy summer night.

As I get older I'm really beginning to appreciate life's seemingly few precious moments, and last night was definitely one of them. A special thanks to the Fuentes and those dedicated Trappist monks, as well as the girl I've been with since age 15, for helping to make it happen.

Re: Añejo Shark + Trappist Ale...

I haven't yet had the priviledge of tasting an opus yet, but the Trappist on the other hand I have. Unfortunately my friends and I in college a few years back decided we would beer bong a bunch of it because of its alcohol content up above 10 percent or so. Well lets just say thats a bad idea not to mention the price tag. I have to say though its one of the best beers I have ever had

It was hard for me to concentrate reading this. Your Avatar had me laughing the whole time.
