Green spots on cigar

Is this normal? I've had this slow-aged by perdomo in my humi for about 6 weeks I think. Pulled it out to smoke it this evening and noticed the green spots after I lit it. I really enjoyed the other slow-aged I had, and so far this one tastes fine. The ash fell off after only about 1/4 inch though...

They are water spots that occured during fermentation. Very, very common.

Ok thanks. I've never seen them before, but I thought something could be wrong and I haven't noticed it yet because the majority of the smokes in my humidor have a darker wrapper.

The cigar is coming along nicely, but it seems to have a bit of a harsh edge to it. If I could just get that nice "under flavor" without the harshness it would be great. Paring it with a mixed drink of Old Charter 10 and Diet Coke.

I asked the same question earlier and got the same response. I actually put it out for 20 minutes while I waited for answer since I didn't want to smoke mold, but it was fine. I never got the least bit sick or anything of the like. On the cigar, I doubt you'll be getting to taste the flavor w/o the harshness. At least I never did when I smoked that thing. One of the worst cigars I've had which sucks since I was looking forward to it after smoking some of the perdomo cabinet series.

You know, that is funny because I didn't like the Cabinet series that I had. It was very harsh and just didn't taste good to me. I thought I wouldn't like the slow-aged because I didn't like the Cabinet. I had the Silver cello, which I think means it had a cameroon wrapper.

Ya, that was my least favorite. I liked the champagne and maduro tho.

Can't say I agree with this. Like I said, it is very common especially with Habanos and have smoked many that have been delicious.

As for the cigar that sucked, it was a Perdomo after all.

I didn't mean it was harsh because of the water spots, I meant it was harsh because the cigar sucked.

Not a Perdomo fan huh?
The one that I really enjoyed (thanks to SmokeyScotch) was the no.2
Not sure what you call the shape (perfecto maybe?) but it is a dark little cigar that is tapered on both ends. Still got one in the humi for a special occasion

Just a little rib. There are a couple of Perdomo's I like. But only a couple.

I like the de Silvio, the Fresh Rolled and the Genuine Pre-Embargo Cuban Counterfeits. What a silly name, eh?

Re: Green spots on cigar

I had this same thing on an Alaidos I had. I thought it was mold at first but it didn't come off or anything- I also noticed the cigar was a bit harsh, almost with a cigarette like taste. So do the green spots affect taste? or are they an indication of something that could?
