Yeah, that isn't the best way to represent your company. It comes off as a bit douche-y. In fact, after looking at all of his other posts today, it is so douche-y that you can literally smell the vinegar. Yay subversive (or not so much) advertising.

They might be able to get some goodwill back at CS if they give CS members a coupon code or something for 10% off. Otherwise, it's very hard to make a bad first impression into a good impression.

Re: crappy humidor

a little harsh don't you guys think?

that website has excellent prices especially when it comes to humidors...i would know i've been shopping around for a new one. i don't know what their services are like but i'm probably gonna order my next humidor from them because they have the best price - the medici for $138, that same humidor costs $165 at the most beloved clubstogie site Cigarmony, so there's almost a 20% off coupon right there for ya.
i fully supporting the business of a long time clubstogie member and i'll continue to buy my beads from them but i can certainly APPRECIATE and WELCOME a new member to clubstogie and his business which happen to offer GREAT prices to keep this online cigar business competitive. i agree he's been kind of spamming pushing the site, but i'm sure the guys running cigarmony and heartfeltindustries went through similar process except it was considered acceptable because they weren't "outsiders" or "new"

Re: crappy humidor

You certainly have a right to do as you choose, and I'll never try to convince you otherwise.

I refuse to buy products from companies who spam. Email, snail mail, chat forums. It wasn't a one- or two- time plug. It was quite a few in a very short period of time.

It's common forum etiquette to talk to the forum administrators regarding "What am I allowed to do?" / "Where am I allowed to post?" if the person is a vendor wanting to get the word out about their sites/products.

So I won't be doing business with them. But I won't dissuade people from doing business with them either.

I simply want him to stop posting one-liner sales pitches in other people's threads.

We have a retailers sub-forum here. Frankly if he used his URL as a simple tag line, and actually contributed to the thread he is posting in I wouldn't have complained.

You mentioned Heartfelt and Cigarmony and made assumptions about their evolution on this forum. You really shouldn't talk about things you don't know as fact. Both of those vendors have demonstrated good prices and excellent service. They also contribute to this forum and offer advice and help to any BOTL who asks.

Perhaps Cigartoyz will become a respected member and even garner some financial success from this forum in time, but he won't do that by simply spamming everyone's threads.

Thanks. I/we appreciate that.

Please do become an active member of this forum. You might begin by posting an introduction in the NEW GORILLA sub-forum.

My post was mostly tounge-in-cheek, however, I think he is going about doing business in the wrong way. He made no useful reply to the posters humidor problem othe than to tag his website. Other members, such as Viper from Heartfelt will regularly give out tons of free advice about their products. To me, that is how you win customers over and why I bought my beads from him.

Re: crappy humidor

I agree,
I also have a Humidor from CheapHumidors.com (suggested by a CS member when I was looking for a bigger box)
I also have one from CubanCrafters which I like very much.

Just keep looking, you'll find one or post up in the WTB forum. Someone may be wantingto go bigger and you can get a good price.

And you are sure based on what? That statement is so full of . Did you read prior threads and come up with something that would support your claim? Mark (Cigarmony) and Dave (Heartfelt) have conducted themselves in exemplary fashion here at CS.

Being new I have searched alot and noticed that both Cigarmony and Heartfelt give great guidance on the forum. I have learned alot from their posts and the sites.

That being said. If your lookin for a humi at not a bad price I would NOT buy from premiumhumidors.com. Their customer service is terrible.I ordered my humi two weeks ago and it should get here today. They don't respond to emails or phone calls. Don't give them your business. I hear great things about cheaphumidors.com though.
