Don't be offended. DIfferent strokes for different folks. You did what a BOTL does. not to sound like a snob but he just is not at that level. the cigar was probably to strong and not sweet enough for his taste as well as the fact it did not have a tit...I mean tip.

was he at least a decent guy? Most of my friends make fun of me cause I smoke cigars.

Re: A sad story........

I was definatlay not offended. I've known Kevin for years so he really can't offend me. I was invited back again this Wed. Most of the guys give him hell about his smokes and how he smokes them, while they seem to be interested in what I will bring to smoke. Maybe the seed is already germinating.

Klugs, I thought he may be packin' but that damn vanilla smell is just too powerfull!

Re: A sad story........

Well the first I smoked was a Bolivar of the Habano variety and did get surprisingly great comments on the smell! They "thought is was nice" and "not offensive at all" and it "didn't smell like any cigar they have smelled before". I just told 'em that it tastes better than it smells!

Damn that slope!

NC very nice jesture. You did what you felt was "right". You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink. Look at it this way, one less person you have to "compete" with when buying "your" type of cigars.

NCRadioMan,

Your friend sounds a lot like mine. We can just hope that in the future they can appreciate a good cigar the way we do. All we can do is try to wing them off of those gas station somkes.

Good Luck
