Thanks, KASR!
You fought a Onyx Reserve Maduro Robusto.

Re: 1-on-1 BTT DBall vs. KASR

OK, DBall - I sunk my teeth into the Number 1 unbanded corona (atleast I think it was a corona possibly a toro...but I think it lacked the ring gauge to be a toro)

Pre-light experience was a delight...upon smelling the foot, I instantly picked up a strong coffee/espresso scent. I'm thinking it was a honduran smoke...possibly a Honduran Nicaraugan blend....the Edge possibly? Maybe RP's Honduran Classic.

Ok on to the smoke!
Toasting the cigar, the stick emits a nice, dark aroma. I can smell the pepper. Know I'm almost certain it's an RP edge....first draw. Ligero-heaven.

This was a full flavored smoke with a very distinct dark/coffee flavor - almost assuredly a honduran filler. The wrapper was veiny and chewy - each puff produced an impressive white plume of smoke. I tried to inhale a bit through my nose...OUCH! Ligero was kicking my butt...atleast, that's what I think it was. Instant pepper in my mouth...this was one spicy cigar and there's only one cigar that I have tasted that duplicates this flavor, construction, and positive experience.

As the cigar progressed, the power continued to build smoothly - it's a great powerhouse cigar and the black coffee flavor NEVER let up.

I smoked it down to about an inch left and let it die in the ashtray. Off to brush my teeth as full flavored cigars tend to bite at my tongue a bit.

Well, you guessed it: I'm going with RP Edge on this one. I'd be surprised it were a Triple Ligero from Gurhka...possibly a Honduran Classic. It doesn't taste like anything that Camacho puts out...the only thing that throws me off the RP EDGE scent was the size of the cigar. To my knowledge, the edge comes in Torp and Toro size and again, this cigar was a little shy on the ring gauge spectrum.

How did I do?

These are some of my favorite cigars... I tend to pick up a huge sweetness from them, typically. Your guess that it was the Edge, however, was incorrect. You didn't give a ?/10 rating or if you'd try it again (I'm always curious to see if people like them), but it sounded like you may have enjoyed it...

The lucky contestant was:

Ahhhhhhh!!! You know, I have never smoked one of those - I really did like it. I would say it gets a 8/10 - the first few puffs were knee-knockers....or I was just being a puss last night! LOL!

Yo Aaron!

Looks like this kinda just fizzled away... would you like to pick it back up or should we just exchange the names of the cigars so we know what we got? They've all got some age on 'em now! Lemme know!
