Single Malt Scotch Tasting
Last night was the annual Scotch Malt Whisky Society's tasting at the Ritz Carlton in Boston. Despite having not fully recovered from LOLH II I met a few friends (incuding Lusi) there and had a great time. Many of the major distilleries had tables where you could stroll up and sample their wares. Near the end of the evening they hand out some crappy cigars, but I always bring my own. This year it was Montecristo Especiales #2 from 97. A lovely medium bodied smoke that did not overpower the malts. Afterwards we ended up in the very cigar friendly Ritz bar where I smoked a Monte #3 from 98 gifted by Lusi and sipped on The Macallan 18 year old. A great evening, but I am dragging a bit today.
