I'm pulling for you boys! I quit cigs in March after 30+ wonderful years of smoking. My wife did as well. We even managed to stay married! It is tough, but worth it! Good luck to all of you.

I do remember! I didn't make it past what ... 8 weeks? Rough days back then. I'm going to make it this time; even if I have to take Chantex to help get it done!!

I have smoked cigs on and off (mostly on) for about 30 years. At times as many as 4 packs a day. The last 3 years I have been pretty steady at about 2 packs a day.
I went on Chantrax with the wife, mostly because I felt it would help her.
Quit on day 8, continued with Chantrax for about 3 weeks total and then stopped taking it. It was making the cigars taste like crap, but I was smoking crappy cigars because of that......stuck in a catch-22.
Cig free for about 6 weeks now, and the cigars are really tasting good (course, I am now smoking the good cigars...). I believe I have it licked for good, now.

I highly recommend Chantrax....it really takes the sting out of quitting. My wife had some upset stomach problems, but went to a half pill and it sorted itself out. I quit taking the pills early, but still had no problems. Docs recommend you stay on them for 3 months....but I had to get some good cigars in.

I quit smoking cigarettes in May of this year after 21 years. I also used Chantix, but had to quit using it after a month. Couldn't sleep. Having others support you helps. Coworkers were quitting at the same time I was, and so far no one has started up again. Gum is your friend.
