Must not be hurting to bad. When I had mine I was in such pain I begged them to do it ASAP.
Not to bad to go through. Helped me really quick. I aways hate the shot though no matter if its for a filling or root canal.

I think the sound of a root canal and the sensation are not the best, but not much more difficult than getting a filling.

Every time I get dental work done, and I stand up too quickly, I wind up fainting from the blood rushing away from my head. That's what happened at my last root canal.

Stand up, get that wet-blanket feeling, a dull hum in my ears, and then lots of commotion as I'm laying on top of some poor dental assistant (she was kind of cute, but that's beside the point)

And you and I both know if he really needs one he'll be postponing the training and run crying to the dentist.
BTW, how does a single day of training delay dental work for a quarter of a year? I'd ask him, but I want to know the real story!

the root canal being done isn't painful with the sleeping gas and the novocaine. it's the waiting too long till your tooth absesses and hurts like holy hell that hurts. usually takes 2 to 3 sessions to complete atleast in my case it did but mine was really bad. you got a bad tooth, rob?
