This is selling for $300 on ebay, a 505 in good shape. I've been looking for one of these to restore.

Soooooo, do I buy it and piss off the wife? Buy it and hide the fact I own it? Let it go? I really cant decide.......

if you can do the restore work yourself it is good. The parts are probably gonna be hard to get to restore and could be expensive. It could and probably turn out to be a money pit. You have to weigh in the money you are gonna put into the restoration and how much can you actually get for it when it is done if you wanna get rid of it.

Well I'd spend the $300 on my favorite cigars first... but if they weren't available I'd probably just blow it on beer and hookers...

I love old cars with personality like that. I own a couple of nice new vehicles but my favorite ride is my simple old 78 Chevy pickup that runs like a charm. It is old and ugly but is totally dependable and is a blast to just cruise in and perfect for burning a smoke in.

Pretty cool... I hope it works out should you go for it!

I had a 78 F-150 and it was a nice old truck, put over 200,000 miles on it...then an older lady ran a stop sign and stopped in the middle of the intersection and both were totaled. We were all fine, except for the autos. Oh well, guess I shouldn’t be doing 70mph in the rain.

Feedback on that joker is enough for me to stay away. 20+ negs shows a real problem. Oh, and I wouldn't touch a French automatic with a 10-foot pole.

As someone who has restored a few cars, they are for the most part black holes. You keep throwing money into them and 99 time out of 100 you'll never get out of it what you put in. If your OK with that than go for it. I buy what I like fix it the way I like and drive them like I stole 'em.
I'd also be aware of anyone with the number of negatives this guy has.
