Question Ever Sell your DVD's?

I was wondering if anyone has ever sold DVD's to www.secondspin.com or www.sellmydvds.com?

I culled about 20 movies from our collection that we never watch and am considering selling them to one of these places.

Thanks,

Doug.

Half.com may be better place or amazon.com where there is more traffic

Re: Ever Sell your DVD's?

Hey Jokie, George is right about E-Bay. It's a sure bet to sell previously viewed flicks, but beware Ebay's fees galore! I personally like to take mine to the local stores that buy and sell used CD's/DVD's. They tend to pay half of retail, I notice, which is about what you'll end up getting in the end with any of the online sellers.

But, before you sell ANY DVD's, check to see if they are in print, as many DVD's are worth quite a bit of cash. I have an out of print Dawn of the Dead from 1997 that is worth $100 bucks, and there are tons of flicks out there that collectors are seeking.

We go to the local store around here. They give a fair price then my kids spend it all on new video games for the Playstation.E Bay would be good but the fees and shipping cost sometimes are not worth it.

I cant win.

Re: Ever Sell your DVD's?

I appreciate all the info and advice. These movies are nothing special. They're all cases of "What were we thinking?" hehehe.

Stuff like Murder by Numbers, Mystic River. Ronin, House of Sand and Fog. Calendar Girls. Envy, The BEn Stiller show...

That kind of thing.

Even I shed a tear at the end of The Notebook.

Ms. Floyd,

I'm not totally sure where they're going to end up yet. I'd like to just dump them all at once, but if it doesn't work out that way then I'll give you and any others here first pick. I'll go ahead and send you the full list, as there's a couple of those sappy ones you might be interested in.

When I find out what's happening with them I'll let ya know.

Thanks for the offer.
