Well November 9th marks the 1 year anniversary since I signed up on Clubstogie. I considered just passing through the day and night to let it pass, but felt compelled to share a few thoughts.

A long long time ago, I can still remember the taste of a swisher sweet sitting around bonfires drinking whatever was around when I was in Highschool. I think this was back in 88. On rare occasions me and my friends would head to the Tinderbox at Lenox Mall to pick up a few quality smokes... Back then I remember smoking a few Zinos.

I never really caught the cigar bug, although I'd been smoking cigarettes all through that time. Fast forward to 2006 and probably fewer than a dozen cigars smoked in 18 years, the bug hit me hard when I returned from a trip from Costa Rica. This is the first time that I remember a cigar putting me at ease. Since then I found JR Cigars, bought my first 20 count humidor and bundle of Connies. I was hooked. I started scouring the internet for information and sources. I ran across the Stogie Review. From there I found Club Stogie. That's where my journey stopped and began.

In a year, this place has become my source of information and comrarderie when it comes to cigars. My journey down the cigar slope has been accelerating the entire time. I amost feel I have a notion of basic cigar knowledge.

I've been bombed by many, bombed a few, run a few contests, shared a few smokes and laughs with Gorillas in person. I've developed some friendships here that will last a lifetime.

I've seen the jungle pull together to support many BOTL/SOTL in need, including myself earlier this year with the passing of my father.

I see new chimps and chimpettes joining the jungle daily journeying a very similar path to one I ventured.

There are so many I should thank, the list is long, but I'll cut is short to say thank you to Paul and the moderator team for keeping ClubStogie the place I visit daily. To all the others I keep up with daily, you know who you are. I'm glad to call you my friends.

This is a bit winded, so let's finish with something fun. I have no contest ideas, nor can I think of who to bomb off the top of my head.....

So to celebrate my upcoming year.... Tell me who to bomb and why. The most compelling post wins. It can be yourself, just convince me. This bomb will go to someone that I've never sent cigars to in the past as a bomb or contest winning.

This isn't really a contest, but an opportunity to share a few cigars with someone I've missed in the past.

Congratulations for the upcoming anniversary. This group is stronger for your presence. As far as who to bomb, bomb the troops, the gift will likely do the most good there and be the most appreciated. Paul

The troops get a monthly donation from me through the lottery and other opportunities when they arise, that won't change. I would like to share with someone on Clubstogie this time. Thanks for thinking of the troops first!

that could work, perhaps someone that joins on November 9th. This could be good and bad. I'll have to consider this, but I like the idea.

Congrats on a good year, Ji. I am proud to call you friend and BoTL. As for who to bomb, how about the first person that signs up on your anniversary? That will surely leave a lasting impression.
