I see a lot of guitar techs looking for a new line of work.

Now I have a Variax that allows me to program various tunings along with the different guitars so I have a Drop D, Drop C, & tuned down a half-step. It does not tune itself or set intonation, however. That would be quite cool!

This is simply the first time that the Tronical tuning system has been put in a Les Paul.

At this years London Guitar Show, I had a butchers at a Strat which had the Tronical system on, its very clever, very simple, accurate and very neat.

Would I buy it? Nah. Its far too lazy.

This goes against my religious beliefs. My 1970 LP Custom says so.

Well if this can keep necks from warping, sure! This is a great idea and quite innovative. I heard a few years back that Jimmy Page went on tour with a prototype of this and did some shows with it. It's been kicking around for a few years at Gibson and should produce some nice attention. Going into altered tunings is very cool. I like how it can check for intonation as well..............very cool.

When a guitar is properly intonated, it means that every fret from the head, all the way to the body is in tune, not just the open strings. Its very important, not to mention a pain in the a$$!
