Visiting Colorado Springs

My fiance and I will be honeymooning in Colorado Springs, Colorado in July. Can anyone suggest restaurants, attractions, those types of things that the locals try to keep secret from the tourists? Any sights that are a must, but don't get much press?

Congratulations!!! You picked an excellent time to visit. It will be warm so USE SUNSCREEN!

I don't get to the Springs too much anymore, living a bit North. What do you folks like? Outdoors (hike, camp, fish, golf, photography,...), Tourist (gambling, auto races, museums, mountain scenery, ...) concerts, clubs, restaurants? Will you have a car and be willing to use it, or would you prefer to stick close to the honeymoon suite (nudge, nudge)? I am assuming, since you are not going to, say, Cabo or Cancun, that lying around all day in the sun is not the primary goal.

A drive up Pikes Peak is nice, the cave-of-the-winds is okay as well. I enjoyed driving / hiking around the Garden-of-the-Gods. As far as restaurants, none comes to mind at the moment.
