Don't mess around with your back. It doesn't take much to mess up your spine. I have chronic pain & arthritis from a back injury 15 years ago that didn't get proper treatment.

See a good chiropractor as soon as the brusing goes down. The soft tissue damage can make your back fell bad for a long time.

Sorry to hear that, Jimmeh....
Be VERY careful to let it heal, and don't overdo and risk reinjury. Be a good boy and take your pain meds and let your body heal. Lay off the booze and med combo, that ain't so good.  this means no Tattoo and energy drinks, the vomiting will only stress your abs and back muscles, and we don't want that, do we?

Your lucky you didnt get a spinal cord injury..... I worked with a guy last friday who fell off a top bunk just goofing around.... he has a C6 SCI and cant feel basically anything from the trunk down....also has limited use of his arms and hands.... I'm glad your reatively OK... |

Take good care and heal quickly. If your body is telling you that it would like an X-ray that is something to listen to. I would suggest you ask for an MRI and see what is going on in there. Back injuries are like long lost friends that show up many years later to reminisce. Take good care.

Bummer man. I hope you start feeling better soon. Be careful not to over do it. Meds have a tendency to make you feel like everything is just fine.

Sounds like you got lucky. Also sounds painfull. So you saved your humi instead of breaking your fall. Well at least we know what your priorities are.

Enjoy the meds. Sorry to hear about the fall though. I have had really good luck with accupunture for back pain. Not that I mind the meds myself
 but sometimes you just need to keep the head clear. Get well quickly.
