Huge Financial Windfall? Right!

I have been informed by email that direct from The Continental Trust Bank of Nigeria to my personal bank account comes over 300,000 crisp, clean US dollars - positively no strings attached. Seems some poor soul with no heirs but piles of dough kicked the bucket a few years ago, and I have miraculously been selected to receive a substantial portion of his riches, compliments of one John Aduh, a director at the aforementioned bank. All that is required of me is that I send to Mr. Aduh my "exclusive bank particulars." Well, after all, sans my "exclusive bank particulars" where, I ask you, are they going to transfer all that money? Now, who has had the same or a similar experience of sudden new found wealth? ;-)

I just received an e-mail from the "widow" of the late President Mobutu Sese-Seko of Zaire. For those interested on what she wrote, I'm pasting it below:

Then after contacting Mrs Sese Seko, I only had to give them my saving acct number, credit card numbers (didn't think it was strange at all that they needed to know my balances and credit limits). Oh well, I'll get the last laugh when the Brinks truck pulls up loaded with money!

I get 3-4 of these a month. This scam has been going on for several years. FBI and Treasury Dept. know all about it. These scammers keep operating because there are so many gullible (read: stupid) people who think someone is going to actually give them tons of money. That said, my guess is they particularly target Democrats and Palm Beach County is one of their prime targets.
