As if moving to Texas actually removed you from the heat!
Hell if anything, it's probably worse with all the humidity around here!

I'll take this wet heat over a dry heat any day. In Texas, in the middle of July, you can play 36 holes of golf, drink a case of beer, and not die--you may be a drunken sweathog, but you will have had a great time getting there. Try that in Phoenix and you're likely to wind up in the hospital.

The wet heat may make it more uncomfortable at lower temperatures because it tends to cause one to sweat more; however, I will never forget the day the thermometer in my backyard in Phoenix reached 124 degrees--the heat was overpowering, you just couldn't bear to be outside.

Having said that, I know other people who have lived in both locales and prefer the Arizona heat--every person is different, I suppose.

And remember, ovens are a "dry" heat as well

Lived in Delaware for 8 years, Since you fellers were talking about heat, I'd have to say I like the dry heat better, went thru boot camp at Parris Island SC, nastiest place I'd ever been and that was september 76, I've been thru Desert training,Greece, Turkey, Tangiers Morroco in the summer but the worst damn climate I've ever experienced was in good old south click.

So I'll take it dry, climate that is fer ya nasty thinkin folks..
