Summer Vacations

Well, Memorial Day has come and gone, so summer is here. What are everyone's plans for the summer? Trips, fishing, laying around? Myself I plan on going to see the Grandchildren up in South Georgia in about 2 weeks, and then 2 weeks in the North Georgia mountains at the end of July. Be happy to herf with anybody in the area. Anyone have any plans they want to share? I wish I was going to Cuba for a week, but no luck.

SoCal Mega Herf III scheduled for July 6th. Time enough to make plane reservations! ;-)

The original plan for this year was Denmark, but my wife's grandmother is ill so it's off to Del Ray in July. At least I get a week at the Grand Floridian in Disney World. Still, Del Ray and Boca in July in a gated community!!!!! Anyone who has watched Seinfeld knows what I am talking about. Pray for me!!

What part of So Georgia? As for summer plans - I'm heading to LA for the SoCal Herf III on July 4, then to Cooperstown, NY the end of July to see Ozzie Smith go in to the Baseball Hall of Fame.

Well, in 16 days I will be heading to Maine. Stopping at
Niagra Falls, Cooperstown and a few other places on the way.
We will probably do some fishing while there. Then vacation
our way home. We will be taking two weeks.

In July, I'm going to Ohio to visit my brother and then up
to Lansing MI. Will try to hook up with big_bish while there.

In August, I'm going to spend a week in Branson MO. Just
hanging out with the wife celebrating our anniversary.

I got think of something to do we the other 2 weeks of vacation
before the end of the year. Some incidentals always seem to
pop up to use them for.

Then in the fall LOLH II!!!

leaving for varadero tommorrow (00:30 june 1 actually) just booked it last night.brother(non smoker yahoo)is coming with me . we are both certified divers and for the first 5 days,will be wet.
internet is not easy to find but if i can...will check in here.]
thought for the day...cuba is the least expensive caribean(read diving)destination .this time of year,sales abound.

Yep, know the area well. If you get a chance, take the boat trip/tour over to Sepilo Island.

Racing season is under way so I've got a number of trips. Chicago, Montreal, Toronto, Cleveland, Lexington (OH), Fontana (CA), Mexico City, maybe a couple more. Unfortunately, we're tied up at the track most of the time so It's impossible for me to get together and herf . Also heading to Boston for the Commissioning of USS PREBLE (the next warship to bear the name of my former ship) and meeting a bunch of old shipmates. That should be a good time.
