Christmas Cards for Recovering Troops

I got this at work today, and I knew just which group of people would love to help out some recovering troops. If you would like to send a Christmas card to an injured American Soldier please send to:

A Recovering American soldier

By the way, if you don't have Christmas cards, I'm sure a plain old letter would work too

Give me a minute to look it up, but this has been circling the internet for a couple of months and unfortunately will not work.

You can send them to the Red Cross though, and they'll forward it to the troops:

The military will not deliver any mail not addressed to a specific individual.

Re: Christmas Cards for Recovering Troops

Related... A way to send letters to troops who are still in Iraq or Afghanistan is through:
http://www.anysoldier.com/

Basically they maintain a list of contacts. When those contacts receive mail, they will give it to someone in their unit, especially if there's someone who isn't getting a lot of mail from friends or family...
