Out of an ice storm comes great friends
It's mine and mrs.smokinpoke's 13th anniversary. Unfortunately the day was ruined by some heavy ice storms that have devastated Oklahoma.

We have not had any power for two days. BRRRR it's cold.

Being that I help manage a hotel I have the luxury of staying in our deluxe two bedroom suite for free.

Well come to find out the Rayners KASR and DUCK who live in the same suburb as us do not have any power either.

What else do we do but have them stay with us. You can't leave your friends out in the cold right.

So we all meet at the hotel sit around watch TV and I make my (let me brag) great chili and we eat dinner.

Afterward we of course need a smoke.

KASR -- Troya Classico
DUCK -- Casa Torano
Mrs.smokinpoke -- AF Hemmingway Masterpiece
smokinpoke -- AVO 80th anniversary

Standing outside the hotel proved to be a task. So we all head to my car turn it on and listen to some music.

Once we are done we come back up to the room and KASR and DUCK present us with a bottle of IronStone Vineyards 2003 Merlot.





Now it's time to watch a movie and play UNO

KASR and Duck are great people- very creative too. The bottle of wine they gave us was wrapped in toilet paper and the card was KASR's business card. They are the greatest friends to remember our anniversary.
