I should have rephrased that I LOVE BUSH! Just not George W. You guys are the perfect crowd to share my 2AM moments of creativity. I like how his long hair goes behind the ear God bless America. I was watching this village of people on the discovery channel, that live in some desert near China. Wow we are truly blessed to be here.

This country's the greatest. Where else can the naive and foolish freely express their naive and foolish opinions. Our weakness is our strength.

One thing Clinton's opponents will never be able to say is "that dog won't hump".

True.

The only real problem is when the naive and foolish decide that "the intelligence and facts were being fixed around the policy".

In laymans terms, thats called lying like a bastard to justify a war. Generally, if one supported our troops, they wouldn't scrape up a pack of lies to justify sending troops to fight and die in a foreign country. If the truth is not good enough, then troops should not be sent. THAT is supporting our troops.

I've travelled the world (not plenty enough IMO, but still plenty), and seen a lot.

I've seen how different totalitarian regimes run their shows. Can't forget that my parents came to this country precisely to get away that chit (for FREEDOM), and not just for economic gain. The policies I've seen passed by this administration and the way facts have been bent to justify foreign policy IS VERY SCARY and not very different from the way I've seen it done in countries where you just wouldn't want to live.

So does the end justify the means?! I don't know. I do believe that there are a lot of misguided and frustrated people in the world, fueled by a bunch of zealot fundamentalists being told to focus their anger and frustration against the US, whether justified or not. I hate to think that we've given up some of who we are as a country in order to walk around feeling "safe".

Just a bit more of my .

Uh oh...this is starting to sound like a liberal, conservative bashing thread.

This is particularly funny coming from somebody that just posted a photoshopped version of a Clinton picture. Photoshop escapism, indeed.

Re: The Country's in Good Hands

From what I've read it's debatable whether it's shopped or not. I think it's legit. Like we'd be breaking new ground here either way.

Example of something photoshopped:

The vast majority of those captured are released, or turned over the host country. These are about 500 of what we consider the most dangerous prisoners. Yeah, a few are under 18. Remember the one that got so much press when he was being released? Thanking us for teaching him to read and write? Thanking us for treating him so well? You know, the guy who went right back to the enemy and was captured again, attacking U.S. troops in Afghanistan!!??

And yes Sean, it IS your OPINION. Maybe you could take some of the SURVIVORS of these regimes and ask them if the treatment of prisoners at GITMO is "reminiscent" of their treatment. Of course, most can’t be asked, nor were they ever able to tell their story. I would venture to say any former prisoner of war would tell you they were treated worse than these prisoners.
