Cinco de Mayo

Hope all the LLG's had a great Cinco de Mayo.

After working in the yard all day my wife whipped
up some tacos and burritos. Mmmmmmmm! I contributed
to the feast with a couple of pitchers of margaritas!!!
The first of which slide down with dinner.

After dinner I flipped on the TV to find a good movie
that I had not seen, so I grabbed a big stogie, a glass
of margarita and sat down to watch. Since it was a
2 hour and 15 min movie I decided on a large smoke.
I grabbed a HdM Excalibur #1 maduro. Fired it up. The
draw was a little tight at first but after it got a
good gray ring going it loosened up. I think this was
the best Excal #1 that I have ever had. Perfect burn,
ash so firm I had to break it off, and the largest volume
of smoke that I have ever had from an Excal. I finished
the movie before finishing this smoke. Not one thing
withdrew from the enjoyment of this smoke. My wife even
brought me the rest of the margaritas when I ran out!!!

Since I was too tired to move after my yard work I was more
that happy to sit there in my leather recliner, with a margarita
in one hand, a great cigar in the other, the window open and
fan on to air the house and a good movie on the tube.
EXTREMELY, enjoyable!!!:9 :P

RE: Cinco de Mayo

[updated:LAST EDITED ON May-06-02 AT 04:53 PM (CDT)]Glad you had a good time. I had a great time also; although my celebratory festivities began a day early.

I attended a local herf here in Atlanta, with lots of folks from out of town. With all of the rain we had, I think it was similar to Woodstock; except with old folks and a different type of smoking substance :+ Throughout Saturday, I managed to get in some good food and drinks: burgers, sausages, whole roasted onions, stuffed jalepenos wrapped in bacon, pulled pork, marinated pork tenderloin, tequila based drinks, cuban rum, moonshine }> (don't ask, don't tell LOL) :9

During the day, I managed to get some fishing in when the rain broke. After sunset, some folks went down to the lake for some 'potato launching activites' :7

On the official day of Cinco de Mayo, a small handful of us drank and smoke til about 5:30 am. After a couple hours of shut eye, I went to catch a 9 am tee time with a pounding head. Funny thing is, all of the groups in the scramble scored 5 under par (on Cinco de Mayo)

I know I had a great time. I hope everyone else did as well.

RE: Cinco de Mayo

That sounds great!!!

I'm planning a little trout fishing trip in a couple of
weeks. Fishing at dawn, lounge through the day and
smoke some stogies in the evenings.
