Gorillas and monkeys have had a long divided and contentious history.

Look way back at the Gibbon/Gorilla war back in '57, not to mention the Baboon Heights invasion by the Macaque-Capuchin Alliance.

You are right.
The original civic was a trailblazer in gas mileage if I recall correctly.
They are certainly able to improve mileage if they wanted to.
They are just blending what the EPA requires of them for that class of vehicle and giving the rest to performance (the performance part being debatable as I bet they can accomplish that too with greater mileage).
