BarneysFunGirl and I had "Longer" sung at our wedding.
Sigh....

Re: RIP Dan Fogelberg
He and Michael Murphy played an all acoustical concert about 25 years ago in Austin, before all acoustical was cool. Was an incredible night of music. Even better running into them later in the evening at Headliners and knocking off some steak and quite a few beers.
Class guy and his influence will be missed. tt ![]()

Re: RIP Dan Fogelberg
Glad to see I'm not the only Fogelberg fan around here.
First of his songs I recall hearing was an easy-listening instrumental cover of "Heart Hotels"; even without his lyrics it was memorable enough that I started looking for his work, once I knew of him. Took a look at his website's FAQs tonight; I'd always wondered if "Same Auld Lang Syne" (ironically the last Fogelberg song I heard before I got the news) was a true story. Apparently it was.

Re: RIP Dan Fogelberg
Tonight while I was doing a little cardio on the elliptical and flipping through the stations on the TeeVee as I am prone to do I came upon the tail end of Soundstage on PBS. Guess who was featured? Yeah, thats right, Dan Fogelberg from a September 2004 show. Here is the link if you want to check your area for the next time it will show.
