Phoenix, AZ salt river tubing?
A few of us here in Vegas are planning a trip to phoenix this summer to do a tubing herf down the salt river and spending an evening at habanos Torres. When is the best time to hit the river? We will be looking at doing the long trip and maybe two days in a row. Any information would be of great help. O' and how far is Habanos Torres from the tubing area?

Welp, I'm the resident HT expert but hell if I know where you go tubing. To tell the truth, I don't get along with the Sun. OK I looked it up and made the map a little HT friendly. That's the current location. The new location (tentative opening date) should be right where on that map 87 and Apache intersect.

It is fun! BAck in 92 I cruised down it naked and I look back and thank God I was not arrested. What a dumb ass. Good times, but it is heavily patrolled these days. Have fun!

Cool, sounds fun. I think you want to avoid Memorial Day weekend. I've never tubed the river, but would be interested in herfing if you guys do it.

What about hotels in the area? I may be thinking around may or june not sure yet. when I get better details, I will be posting the dates and times for the tubing herf. Other than HT is there any other B&M's to check out in the area? They will have to allow my Son in. Most place are good about it but some have a 18 and over policy.

Finding a hotel shouldn't be a problem.
Cigar King is in north Scottsdale. Graycliff Cigars is on Scottsdale Road and the owner is a member here too. You could probably spend a whole week doing nothing but visiting B&M's. |
