fresh ink!

I have finally joined the ranks of men and women everywhere with...(drum roll)

A TATTOO!!!

I promised myself I would get one when I turned 40 (in August) and I wanted it done before the SoCal herf.

Just got it today. Took about 90 minutes. the tattooist was great at helping refine my original sketches.

Check out the photo!!

I'm an astronomer and LEO is my favorite constellation (also my birth sign) so what we have here is the constellation itself with the lion's head in the "hook" of Leo, a sun (Leo represents the sun), and the graphic astrology symbol around the tail stars.

Whaddya think??

here's a closeup...

I'm thinking about using a line to connect the stars around the head.

Sweet tat Mike. I'm going to have to see a permit for those guns though. Welcome to your new addiction. That list is getting pretty long rum, cigars, golf, astronomy and now tattoos.

Re: fresh ink!

Outstanding dude, the 2 of you will be very happy together. You mean you didn't get low land Louie or a CS tat?..

Very nice tat, well thought out as well, I sure want to get another but have no battle plan as of yet. Well the biggest reason is that I have the ex's name on my right bicep, and Anita would like to no see it anymore.

Re: fresh ink!

Nice artwork, congratulations. Frank brings up an interesting point; does anyone have a CS or Louie tat?

Re: fresh ink!

Nice Tat...Bad hat.

I really like te uniqueness of the design. The only reason I do not have a tat myself now is that everytime I decide ona Tat design I started to see it all ove the place. First, it was a Tasmaian devil. Than a devil Jerry mouse. Oh yea, I also forgot the other reason...I am a wussy

Congrats on the tattoo.

Re: fresh ink!

Nice looking tat! If that's your first one, beware!!!! They are addictive! After my first one, I said, "I'm happy with one. No more." Now, I've got 3 and dying to get another.

It's no conflict... I can't afford either!

[edit: I can afford both, but I need not too or I won't be eating on my holiday. However, both cigars and tottoos are cheap in France. I love in when a plan comes together!]

Re: fresh ink!

that's pretty cook dude, i've got a couple tat's and i can't stand when people want to compare tattoo's and talk about em when they have tat's that don't mean anything, like they just got em to look hard or cool or something. that's cool that yours actually has meaning and has some sort of sentimental value to you. well keep on keepin on man
