Man this really sucks.
Just sitting there minding your own buisness, and suddenly attacked by a Siberian tiger.
The police shoot and kill the tiger.

Agree with the head count question. As far as putting the cat down last year, reports are that the keeper violated safety rules and the zoo was fined for that. No sense putting the cat down for a keeper's negligence, the tiger is a wild animal and will attack given the chance, that is the reason for the security and safety rules. Not much different from a violent lifer. Just my .

Re: Tiger Escapes San Francisco Zoo

I know the investigation is still ongoing.
But it sounds like keeper's negligence might be involved again. I have heard on the news that there was a 50ft moat and a 20ft wall for the tiger enclosure.
How in the heck could the tiger get out of that without a some human error?

Ooo, ooo, ooo, I know. Crappy San Francisco school system. Instead of math, science, history, etc, the kids had 12 years of "Heather has two mommies" and they just never learned to count.

It is a fresh water moat so the sea turtle theory is no good.
Tigers have no opposable thumbs so they can't grip the PoGo stick handle..I thought everyone knew that..

Re: Tiger Escapes San Francisco Zoo

It sucks that 3 families lives were changed and that a tiger is being blamed for his behavior, A tiger is born to hunt and kill and that is there full time job.The real shame is that we will probably never know the true reason why so many lives were altered including the cats. Some one messed up thats for sure a tragedy. Zoo's need to be able to continue to teach and show our children what's out there in the world and what we are losing every day but need to be accountable for safety.
