I've used acetone and an ultrasonic bath to remove cyanoacrylate from a student's ring before .. worked great (getting mercury off was a much bigger problem).

Some nail polish remover is ethyl acetate these days ... I don't know how well that will work compared to acetone. Be careful with acetone ... it is flammable and not the safest fumes to breathe.

there is this product called "OOPS". you can get it at walmart in the paint/tape area for a few bucks take it right off!

I can't even scratch the crud off the gold. I was too sad at the moment it happened and too embarrassed to take it to a jeweler.

I tried the acetone--nail polish remover last night. That was a no-go. I will get some Oops later and try that, I just want something that won't permanently oxide the gold.

it will....eventually....i once glued my lips together with super glue....i was glueing something and put the tube between my lips to free my hands.......yeah, that was fun times!

sorry the oops didnt work....thats what i used...that and some vicoden

You sure the nail polish remover was acetone not ethyl acetate? I'd soak it in a closed container of acetone for a few hours. The glue should swell, desticky and can be rubbed off.
