2005 Tour de France

I'm not really into bicycle racing except when the Tour de France starts every year. I would read about Greg Lemond in sports reports in the late 80s but never really paid it much attention until about 5 years ago and then began watching it on OLN.
It's interesting to watch the technique and strategy play out during the stages. I also enjoy Bob Roll's analysis and commentary... he pretty much just calls it the way he sees it.
As someone who would have to dig pretty deeply in my garage just to find my bike I find it amazing to watch the riders race for 40-50 miles and make the huge mountain climbs at the same time.
I hope Lance and his Discovery team go out and win it again this year.

Re: 2005 Tour de France

I used to own a Bicycle shop and raced for many years... Lance is Da Man!

Rob (Bobkke) Roll is a pretty cool cat. He grew up right down the road from me and is a very easy going and funny guy. He was doing a lot of racing when the new kid showed up at the local races.... Greg Lemond (aka traitor, big mouth loser) Greg is a real piece of work... he used to get accused of doping and no one (Euro's) believed he wasn't using them. Then the same thing is happening to Lance and Greg is one of the first and only American's to say that he must be using. Greg 3, Lance 7 (to be) hmmmm sounds like Greg cannot handle his legacy getting trampled.

Anyway.... any day the US is spanking the french on their own turf is a VERY GOOD DAY! Today is a VERY GOOD DAY!!!!

It's all a set-up for the mountains. Then Armstrong will pull away like a bmw passing a loaded semi!

The guy is a freak of nature.
