English Bulldog returns to the AKC Top 10

We always had bulldogs when we worked,,first thing you have to do is invest in a large crate probably two because you want one by the kitchen/family room and the other in the bedroom. Make sure that the crate has a rubber mat with slits in for the bottom so when the dog pees the liquid goes down under the mat and he doesn't sit in it all day. There is no way a pup is going to hold his urine for 9 hrs,, he would not be able to until about 6months plus..when we first get a pup and we are home we take the dog out about every hour to go to the bathroom,,its a pain but if you stick with it pays off big dividends,,at night I would get up at least a couple of times to take them out. when leaving him alone put a nylabone or a large baked round bone minus the marrow in his crate so he has something to do while you are gone.
hopefully you will get to the point where you can let him roam the house while you are gone without getting into trouble. I can go on and on but I won't bore you...Ps...our female is a terrible shedder,,a little less in the winter but all summer long.

I am a sucker for Bullys. I had a guest check in last night and she always brings hers. So I went to PETSMART today and bought some treats and a toy.

Of course I had to buy my guy something. Wouldn't want him to get jealous.

I am the owner of three dogs; however, I have yet to get a Bulldog, despite them being on my dream dog list. I'm sure they are great dogs, as my pug and boxer are funny yet great companions. So, I am sure Bulldogs are very close to the same.

We've got a three month old pup, and he is just awesome. Each morning we both look at each other with our sad little "I'm still sleeping" faces and go for a walk. I have wanted on for a long time, and I am glad to have Buster. There is no chance he will ever get trapped though, he can chew through anything.
