I saw Cloverfield! [opinions and possible spoiler inside]

Bottom line: This movie sucks beyond words. Within the next few weeks, 'cloverfield' will become synonymous with . People might actually start saying things like "Ewww, something smells like cloverfield".



Highlight below for my FULL opinion:

Alright, with that out of the way, I can safely say this is the worst movie I've seen since the Blair Witch Project. You would think the kids that made that movie were directing this new piece of crap. It's exactly the same. If you liked following some tool with a handycam run around in the woods while his friends died one by one, then you'll probably love watching some tool with a handycam run around Manhattan while his friends die one by one. Swap the woods with a big city, and the witch for a big green monster w/ creepy spider-like sidekicks, and you've got Cloverfield. It was literally nauseating, enough that my wife and a few others got up and left. I stayed waiting for it to get better. By the end of the movie I was jealous that my wife had paid $10 to sit on a bench in the lobby and stare at the wall, while I paid $10 to watch this crap. If I had to do it all over again, I'd choose the wall. I promise if you don't like the first 10 minutes, you're not gonna like any of it.

I think I'll just d/l a screening of it and check it out for myself. I had a feeling that it was going to suck...before I say it sucks, I gotta watch it.
