this happened 2 nights ago, i believe, about 1.5 miles from my house. the proximity isn't the kicker, it's who she is and her dad.

i know her (knew her), and i worked with her dad for years and years.

they mention a "pipe bomb". it was more than that, they had them taped to two butane tanks in the crawlspace under the home....

i haven't talked to her dad, my old co-worker, since this happened, i've been busy with my wifes torn disc in her back and i'm sure he's got more important stuff to worry about.

i can't imagine what he's thinking/feeling. from what i hear, they had her stuck in the house after the first attempt and had just allowed her to socialize that day. she didn't think it was her boyfriend that tried the pipe bomb... Pete (her dad) and my old roommate (who's a real close buddy of his) think the guy did it cuz he had another girlfriend on the side.

anyway, seems ppl are posting "news" stories about hotels on fire and things like that.

this could be the first time KS uses the new "fetal homicide law" as well...
