It's a pretty big problem here too. Luckily, MI doesn't have emissions testing, so if my CC gets stolen, I won't be replacing it. My Mustang has 4 CC's on it, but they won't be on there much longer anyway.

The cc h pipe didn't last long on my mustang either.

People have been stealing aluminum siding off of houses in N.E. ohio like crazy lately. It's to the point now where most scrapyards are refusing to take it.

Some people will work harder to steal $10 than earn $100.

Re: Stolen catalytic converter

Its a big thing.. people really are starting to do this kinda thing. My uncle-in-law leaves his pickup truck at the train station every day... takes the metro from Long Beach to his work. Well, he got in the truck to go home one night, and he noticed it was making a funny noise. So he took it to the dealership, and wala.. his converter had been cut off half way.. but the theives musta been spooked by something and abandoned the idea. Good thing, because the retail dealership price on a new cat. converter for his truck was somewhere in the neighborhood of $900
