Friday was my sister's last day of radiation for breast cancer. We celebrated with a family barbeque! So glad she is on the road to recovery!

My wife just completed the 60 miles in Chicago 2 weeks ago. She walked with 2 of her sisters and her niece. One of the sisters is fighting a very rare and agressive breast cancer now. She has had radiation, chemo, radical double masectomy and is back on chemo now and just had some growths removed from her colon. It's been a helluva year. All that and she is only 43 years old.

God help those that have it, God bless those that help.

October is breast cancer awareness month. I just had my first mammogram and was tested to see if I carry the BRCA Gene (breast cancer gene). I won't get the results to the BRCA analysis for 6 weeks.

I'd like remind everybody the importance of this, it doesn't take much to click the link and breast cancer reserach has done a lot for its patients.

Just this week my mother passed away after a 10 year struggle with breast cancer. The clinical trials and treatments offered to her through breast cancer research gave her a wellness of life we would of thought impossible. She was able to see all her children graduate, and hold her first grandchild in her arms. I don't know where my family would be without the generous donations given to breast cancer research and all it accomplishes.

So a personal thank you to all you BOTLs who click that link every once in awhile, it means a lot

Mom is a four time cancer survivor. 85 years young but had a double mastectomy 35 years ago. Thanks guys for helping.

Carol, my late wife of 30+ years, passed away from T-Cell Lymphoma in October of 2006. Cancer of every type is a dreadful illness. Stamping it out should be a priority of everyone.
