Re: Sun and Snow, Mountain Pics!

Pistol,

Very pretty home and surrounding area but TOO MUCH SNOW! We haven't had that much snow, total, in Buffalo (WY) in the last 10 years. I knew I found heaven when one of the kids I had hired to unload the moving truck asked me what the snow blower was for.

My daughter dated a kid from Park City when she was in college. He was a kicker for Big Red. I think his family owns a bunch of auto parts stores. Nice kid.

But, it was baglorious's post that brought a tear to my eye and made me homesick for Nebraska. Corn stalks---best winter cow feed ever made. Brown ice. Oh, does that bring back memories! How about frozen cow pies? I had one once that looked like Jay Leno (JK). Oh, and the "brisk" temps. How invigorating---until it freezes the tails and ears off your calves. And to think, Nebraska actually taxes you to live there

that's a great post! Anyone from the midwest knows exactly what you are talking about! It's hotter than hell during the summer, but colder than a witch's you know what during the winter!

WOW... what an absolutely beautiful place! Yeah, snow sucks and all, but that area just seems breathtaking. Thank you for the pictures... I'd love to get to see some place like that in person someday.

Re: Sun and Snow, Mountain Pics!

Thanks for the pics, brings back memories of when I lives in SLC ('82-84) and skied at Alta almost constantly.

SLC is the only place that I ever lived where I have bicycled to the ski area and then skied fresh powder (someone else had to haul my gear, obviously). Learned snorkel skiing at Alta.

Alta is my love! There's nothing like a powder day in Eagle's Nest, Rustler, N. Rustler, etc. Those chutes are amazing! There's no better in-bounds terrain ANYWHERE in the country than Alta/Snowbird. Living in Park City is great; I drive to Alta on the pow days, but I ski Park City mountain on the bluebird days because I think the bump skiing is a little better at PCMR than at Alta. Let me know if you ever come back out; we'll having to meet up for some turns and smokes!

We can meet up for smokes, but alas not skiing. I may act juvenile, but my knees are old and bear many scars.

Re: Sun and Snow, Mountain Pics!

I was in Park City for last year's Sundance. You live in a beautiful city with the freshest powder i've ever seen. The Park City Roots shirt i bought there says it all, "You Deserve a Nice Ride" LOL. How do you feel about your small town getting invaded for a week? I assume some businesses live off that one week of crazy income.
