Sun and Snow, Mountain Pics!

We've gotten absolutely drilled with snow this year! We've all ready had 467 inches at Alta and it's only February. Well, since we've been getting creamed by the storms, it's nice to finally get some sun! Here is a pic of the driveway first, and then the view from the hot tub of the mountains (Park City Mountain and the Canyons ski resorts). The last two pictures are from two weekends ago when Jenn and I hiked a couple of the back bowls. If any of you skiing gorillas can hang, meet Jenn and I out on the mountain!

All I can say from South Bend, IN...

... is that I pretty much hate you.










Though, I guess I shouldn't give you the wrong impression. It's kinda neat here in the winter. The leftover corn stalks kinda stick up through the snow in some places. Well, more ice and slush than snow, really. With some mud too. Except it got bitterly cold here again recently, so, everything that was starting to melt kinda blended together, froze again, and is kinda just brown ice. But the hacked-off corn stalks are still there. They're brown too.

Hey man, I feel you! I'm originally from Kansas City so I know all about ice, slush, and mud. However, I can honestly say that I don't miss it, and I'm never moving back to the midwest again!

I've been to Provo once on business about 2 years ago in April. There was still some snow on the top of the mountains, not like that though.

It was a cool site to behold for someone where highest elevation in state is roughly 2,400 ft !!
