have any of my fellow apes flown recently?

As some of you know I'll be needing to fly into texas in the near future, my question is how many carry ons do they allow? Is it two still or did we get bumped down to one? Also, any san antonio apes want to get together for a cigar or a bowl? I'll post this over in the herf section also but thought I'd ask here too.

Thanks apes

Here is a good place to start if you haven't flown in some time.

Different airlines have different size regulations as well. Some use a template others dont. Best to call the airline you are flying at get their specific rules. Enjoy your trip.

thanks TZ I looked on there but nothing jumped out at me. I'm probably leaving my cutters/lighters home anyway as long as I can find a safe way to pack up my pipes and sticks. If I can have two carry ons it won't be a problem, if I'm stuck with one I'll have to reconsider how I pack

Agreed on checking with the specific airline. Almost all still allow 2 checked, two carry-ons, but size matters. Only thing I will say is my family has flown Southwest the last 3 airplane trips, and had long delays and route changes on each trip. Maybe just bad timing.

Sorry for the trip to Texas. I assume this is related to your father-in-law to be. prayers.

Even the airlines that use a template usually let carryons of decent size pass. Usually it's one carry on and one "personal item" such as a small back pack or laptop case or purse or man bag or...

I travel anywhere from once to six round trips per month. I roll with a roll on bag and a travel humi. Make sure you follow the tolitries rules and regs. Don't fold your clothes, but rather roll them up to limit wrinkling and making more room. Just my two cents.

Most that I fly allow 1 carry on + 1 (Laptop bag, etc) but since my laptop bag is a backpack bag - no issues getting cigars on

I was tire of bringing my computer, so I hall my Treo and a 2g thumb drive and compute on site

One other tip, as soon as you get your tickets go to the airline website and update/improve your seats. I check daily, unless I am flying first class from all the frequent flyer miles.

1 piece of carryon luggage (ie a small suitcase) and 1 "personal item" (ie purse, backpack, etc). Basically, one that will fit under the seat and one that will fit in the bin.
