Back in the early '70's I bent a set of Head 360's when a binding failed at the Dartmouth Skiway. Had the old Marker turntable heel units on the skiis and the heel binding pulled away from the turntable when I was making a turn. I was not hurt but the skiis were screwed along with the bindings.

Wow, something similar happened to my wife. As a kid, she was skiing at Mont Tremblant and hit a tree. Her binding didn't function properly; she stayed connected to her binding, and ripped it right off the ski.
