New Home (I Hope)
Well we put on offer down on a new home (at least new to us, but built in 1957). what is really nice is my wife's grandmother is only two houses away, so we can help her stay in her house longer, and my daughters can get to know their great-grandmother. The home needs work, but I may be able to finally have my man cave. The strange thing is, the house has two offers at the same time, which is hard to believe in this market. So we are actually competing for this house, while 1 in every 47 houses in Colorado are in foreclosure. Who would have known.

We will know tonight whether the offer was accepted, rejected or countered, so keep us in your prayers.

As a Realtor, I can tell you this is a common misconception. Home values are down almost everywhere in the country and some places have dipped far more than others. However, there are still plenty of people out there looking to buy because prices are lower and interest rates are still historically speaking low.

People are always moving. Life goes on. People have more kids and outgrow their home. Their kids move away and their home becomes too big. Divorce of course happens as well. People need to upsize/downsize/relocate for various reasons. People will always move and therefore buy/sell their homes.

thanks fellas. I will keep you all posted. here is a photo of the front. No garage, but a big lot, and it is not the ticky tacky suburbian homes that are flooding the market.
