Sitting at Starbucks like a Yuppie
Currently at Starbucks, waiting for the boy to take his version of the SATs. Some big motorcade with the secret service just rolled up with some type of dignitaries. Wouldn't that be funny if they were Cuban? They are hanging out here. I'm the only one with a laptop and everyone is giving me the eye. I hope nothing happens...

I'm talking to a Vietnam Vet right now. He was talking to the senior secret service guy...seems like they were from Bolivia. Pretty cool. They looked more important than me. Too bad I didn't have a cigar!

starbucks around my way you basically have to walk through a smoke cloud to get inside.

people are always sitting out at the tables smoking

That's because they are not allowed to sit inside and smoke. Ask the manager and they will tell you they have no control on what happens outside their doors.

Sometimes I meet clients at Starbucks. It's a good spot for me because they're EVERYWHERE and they have free wi-fi. I feel like such a pompous ass though everytime I step in the door. This feeling is only enhanced when I whip out my laptop.

actually got some school work done and met a job headhunter. I tell ya, that place has some interesting ones working there. I think a television series could be make about that joint!
