One must consider True Friends every day,
My oldest and dearest friend and "Brother" passed away suddenly and unexpectedly last year.
He was a Hero in my eyes. Two tours in the 101st in the 50's - 60's
A Man that would give you the shirt off his back, A man that was always there to help ... A man of wise words and vision.
He was too young to pass on.
I will miss him every day for the rest of my life.
Be sure to tell your true friends how much they mean to you.

I wholeheartedly agree with the content of the post. But why was it posted? How was it prompted? Is it just a sappy reminder like a word from the wise on the true meaning of friendship? Or was there something that made you say 'It is important that I post this'?

That would be interesting to know. Otherwise, whoever needs a reminder needs a real friend first.
